The NVC is a component of the U.S. Department of State responsible for the processing of visa petitions approved by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement

ICE is a federal law enforcement agency under the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) responsible for enforcing federal laws governing border control, customs, trade and immigration to promote homeland security and public safety.

The ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ICE ERO) is responsible for enforcing the immigration laws by identifying, arresting, and removing aliens who present a danger to national security or are a risk to public safety, as well as those who enter the United States illegally or are present without status.
